The Role: Associate or Senior Associate


Educators First Financial is a unique financial services firm. While we help people of all vocations, we are focused on helping public school employees maximize the benefits of their pensions as a part of their overall financial strategies. We have built our reputation for unmatched client care through more than a quarter century’s service to others. Now we are seeking a Financial Advisor to help our firm provide an even greater level of service.

The primary responsibilities will be to collaborate with an experienced advisor to maintain profitable, professional client relationships with our current client base, and to review, present, and implement financial recommendations with new and existing clients. All candidates should demonstrate a desire to network, build relationships, and communicate effectively with others.

This is a great opportunity for an aspiring advisor to shadow the firm owner, be involved in client onboarding, and contribute to a continuously growing firm.

This is also a great opportunity for an experienced advisor looking to take their practice to the next level, with access to cutting-edge industry technology, established systems, processes, and nationally-recognized branding and marketing strategies.

Potential opportunities for acquisition and/or succession plans may exist in certain situations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Demonstration of exceptional client care while maintaining the highest ethical standards and confidentiality
  • Helping clients identify their financial objectives and make informed decisions about their financial futures
  • Working with clients to analyze, research, recommend, and implement solutions for their individual financial situations.
  • Continuously monitoring clients’ financial situations with detail and accuracy
  • Providing assistance and support to other team members in order to sustain a cooperative, positive work environment
  • Dedication to networking, continued education, and establishing expert relationships with strategic partners


Education/Licenses
The?ideal candidate?will have at minimum an undergraduate degree.?The following licenses/designations are preferred:

  • Life and Health License, and FINRA Series 6/7 and 65/66.
  • Willingness to pursue relevant professional designations (CLU, ChFC, etc.) to demonstrate commitment to continuing education within our industry.


Skills/Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in the financial services industry and/or sales
  • Self-motivated and ability to establish effective relationships with diverse personalities
  • Understanding of a wide range of financial products, including insurance and investments
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Extensive Microsoft Office skills with intermediate or better computer proficiency
